Getting lost in Venice

Venice was stunning from the moment we landed. We were greeted to beautiful blue skies and temperature in the mid 30’s. It’s everything I’ve seen in the movies and more. As an admirer of anything created with love, I thoroughly enjoyed gazing at the architecture when riding the taxi boats; one thing I loved the most was the variety of doorbells we saw. I have come to the conclusion this year that Italy has some of the most extravagant doorbell buttons! (Paris holds the title for doorways) I actually have tonnes of doorbell images but that might get a bit boring for some.
As you can see the streets have so much character, the colours against the water and skies look beautiful. Venice is very much like a moving painting, absolutely stunning views from every spot.
The best thing to do is to head out with a belly full for energy and literally get lost all day in the alleyways. Instincts will always bring you back to the main square, trust me!

Colour co-ords

How to not feel all alone in a city you know no one in? Go to a park full of locals, tourists, children and dog walkers, sit on the bench and soak up the atmosphere. You are sure to catch a smile and meet some friendly folk to mingle with. Or put a shout out on Instagram, the locals are very proud of their city and are more than happy to show you around/ recommend a few things you could do when visiting.
This was one of the busiest walkways we came across in Lisbon, situated just outside the Myraid by Sana hotel; it was buzzing under the Winter sun.
We were actually making our way to the marina to see the boats, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to pose on these colourful benches!
I have held on to my love for co-ordinates from 2014 (previously worn here) and found this cute ensemble to wear; the loose fit trousers with matching boat print shell top. The ease of wearing such a relaxed outfit made traveling a joy and I felt so comfortable, which was perfect as we were out and about for nearly 12 hours! I am in the middle of putting together a post of exactly what we did in Lisbon with bits and bobs I would recommend for you to see. Stay tuned ☺

R-r-r-r-r-rioo!

R-r-r-r-r-riooooooooooo, closer to London than ever before! The mastermind creatives at Kate Spade NY teamed up with Nikki Tibbles of Wild at Heart for a Rio de Janeiro themed window display that won the Chelsea in Bloom Gold Award for retailers in the neighborhood of the annual show. (Rightfully so!)
With the Chelsea flower show just around the corner from the store, blooms were in full swing, it was lovely seeing happy shoppers with their exotic purchases and extravagant greenery.
I love the mix Kate Spade offers, beautifully crafted pieces injected with a child-like creativity with the most professional execution; So many beautiful vibrant patterns, details and quirky designs.
The display definitely got me in the mood for summer, slight wanderlust kicking in; next trip? Yes please!
