Customising a classic

After seeing the new Mango DIY competition, I decided to raid my craft supplies and see what I could whip up. I love customising; making something personal and unique.

1) I always like to keep my options open, so having a variety of different gems and sequins is a bonus. Have a little play around with your design and see what arrangement works best.

2) Copydex is a very strong craft adhesive, ideal for securing the larger gems. Apply a small amount to the back and place onto garment where desired, hold for 30 seconds to make sure it is pressed on firmly.

3) After attaching the gems I decided to break up the pink and stitched on an outline with blue sequins. Tie up any loose ends on the reverse side and et voila – customising a classic is complete.

Wedding Blooms

A little personal post today, I hope you have all had a lovely Easter weekend; I had the pleasure of attending my cousin sisters wedding in Hexham. It was picture perfect from start to finish, with patchwork bunting, fairy lights, candle lit tables, wild flowers in jam jars and lace trimmings. Garden games and photo booth props entertained us throughout the afternoon and were the source of so much laughter. The atmosphere was euphoric a live band played till the sunset and we called it a night after singing our lungs out. Family, Love, Laughter and Fun this Easter was definitely one to remember!

Pen & Ink

Last weekend I had the absolute pleasure of being involved with a creative project to give young artists like myself a platform to be seen.
Pen & Ink was my first exhibition; I produced black and white artwork to be showcased in One by One store in Soho London.
The event was a huge success and we were ecstatic with the crowd in excess of 200 people turning up to view our work. If you follow my twitter I’m sure you have read about my excitement in the run-up to the launch.
Thank you to everyone who encouraged and supported me throughout, companies like Some-where to offered me an invaluable opportunity and hopefully this will lead to plenty more adventures in the near future.
I am selling a select number of prints from the show in my Etsy store.

To round it all off big love to Misha Meghna a creative visionary.
